Here is a NEW Photoshoot and Interview with Laura Donnelly from W Magazine
From W Mag:
This fall, the buzz on Broadway is, for once, not oriented around splashy brand-name musicals like Mean Girls or Spongebob: The Musical. It’s all about a slew of dramatic plays with promise, and The Ferryman, a West End import, and its Irish star Laura Donnelly, might be the breakthrough of the season. The actress won an Olivier Award for Best Actress last year in London for her role as the firebrand single mother Caitlin Carney, whose husband, Seamus, left for work on New Year’s Day, 1972, and never came home.

Here is a NEW Interview with Laura Donnelly from The New York Times
From The New York Times:
Police checkpoints in the street. Helicopters overhead around the clock. The necessity, in certain parts of town, to give a fake last name if anyone asked, because her real last name would tip them off that she was Roman Catholic.
To the actress Laura Donnelly, growing up in Belfast, Northern Ireland, during the Troubles, these were simply facts of life. So was the absence of her uncle Eugene Simons, who vanished on New Year’s Day 1981 — murdered by the Irish Republican Army, his body hidden in a bog.

Here is a NEW Interview with Laura Donnelly from Independent.ie
From Independent.IE:
If you have ever seen the TV show Outlander, you’ll know Laura Donnelly’s face. In a show about time-travelling Celts that features plenty of magic stones and kilts that leave little to the imagination, she brings the narrative down to earth. She plays Jenny, the wise-cracking, logic-abiding sister of the male lead Sam Heughan, and her presence brings an earthy reality to a show that could otherwise run away with itself. In person, Donnelly – who has just won an Olivier award for her role as Caitlin in the Broadway-bound The Ferryman – brings much of Jenny’s energy. She’s quick, funny and eminently fair.

From The Belfast Telegraph:
Belfast-born actress Laura Donnelly won an Olivier award this year for her role in The Ferryman, a play inspired by the story of her uncle, who was shot and secretly buried by the IRA. As she takes to the stage in Donegal at the Brian Friel Festival, she talks to Laurence White about how her family coped with the tragedy and why she was inspired to pursue a career in acting.
(…)
Laura is delighted with the play’s success – Jez (for best new play) and Sam Mendes (for best director) collected awards and there were also five nominations for best supporting actor, best supporting actress (twice), best actor and best set design:
“It is great for the play to get the recognition it did. It was an astonishing achievement by Jez. It was a tremendous achievement to get three top awards. It is still sinking in. I never dared dream that I would get an Olivier Award. I always hoped that I would make a living as an actor and anything else coming after that would be a bonus,” Laura says.
“It is wonderful to be recognised by your peers in such a public way. Awards are not the be all and end all, and not why we do this job, but it is a lovely pat on the back.”
