Big sigh of relief, right? Though if you’re a reader of Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling book series upon which the Starz series is based, you knew about all that hanky-panky already. Showrunner Ron Moore does caution, however, that the upcoming episodes (premiering April 4 at 9 p.m. ET) might not live up—steaminess-wise—to the precedent set in episode 7. You know the one.

“The wedding episode sort of stands alone in the firmament,” Moore says. “There’s not another episode that’s as romantic and as sensual and has all those elements at play in it.”

So what more can fans expect from the second half of season 1?

“I’d say the story really picks up momentum and starts rocketing on a little bit more,” Moore teases. “The twists and turns come a little faster. You’re going to see things like a witch trial. You’re going to get back to Lallybroch and see where Jamie is from and more of his family members. There’s a big search episode where Claire is looking for Jamie. And then, of course, it all moves toward this big climax and the finale where Black Jack and Jamie—all the things that have been building between those characters comes to a head.”
