Will there be any videos posted of the panels during the event? This introduction is amazing!

I don’t think so. If there are some we’ll post them, however people aren’t allowed to film during the panels. So we only get videos if the con themselves post it.
So verra moving. I had goosebumps. Anyone know the music in part one? Familiar though i don’t think it is on a OL cd.
It is Mo Ghille Mear (My Gallant Hero). Is also a bagpipe tune.
I love the song I want to find the lyrics.
Cyntia, the song’s title is “Mo Ghile Mear” (“My Gallant Hero”) and it’s dedicated to Bonnie Prince Charlie. I found the lyrics on YT:
“Mo Ghile Mear” lyrics: Sé mo laoch mo Ghile Mear ‘Sé mo Chaesar, Ghile Mear, Suan ná séan ní bhfuaireas féin Ó chuaigh i gcéin mo Ghile Mear. Bímse buan ar buaidhirt gach ló, Ag caoi go cruaidh ‘s ag tuar na ndeór Mar scaoileadh uaim an buachaill beó ‘s ná ríomhtar tuairisc uaidh, mo bhrón Ní labhrann cuach go suairc ar nóin Is níl guth gadhair i gcoillte cnó, Ná maidin shamhraidh i gcleanntaibh ceoigh Ó d’imthigh sé uaim an buachaill beó. Marcach uasal uaibhreach óg, Gas gan gruaim is suairce snódh, Glac is luaimneach, luath I ngleo Ag teascadh an tslua ‘s ag tuargain treon. Seinntear stair ar chlairsigh cheoil ‘s líontair táinte cárt ar bord Le hinntinn ard gan chaim, gan cheó chun saoghal is sláinte d’ fhagháil dom leómhan. Ghile Mear ‘sa seal faoi chumha, ‘S Éire go léir faoi chlócaibh dubha; Suan ná séan ní bhfuaireas féin Ó cuaigh i gcéin mo Ghile Mear. Seal da rabhas im’ mhaighdean shéimh, ‘s anois im’ bhaintreach chaite thréith, Mo chéile ag treabhadh na dtonn go tréan De bharr na gcnoc is I n-imigcéin.
Anyway, you can find the song performed by various artists on YT. A version sang my Mary Black has a translation in English posted below the video.
Thank you for sharing the lyrics. It means so much to us who have never Gaelic in print form. A real treasure!
Oooops! Sorry I meant It means so much to us who have never seen Gaelic in print form.
The song lyrics for Mo Ghile Mearh are Irish Gaelic and were written by Irishman, Seán Clárach Mac Domhnaill. They are a lament by the Gaelic goddes Eire for Bonnie Prince Charlie, who was in exile.
Seán “Clárach” Mac Domhnaill was an Irish language poet in the first half of the 18th century
