OUTLANDER star Graham McTavish swapped 18th Century Scotland for Mid Town Manhattan today, leading thousands through The Big Apple in the 17th Tartan Day Parade.

The Glasgow born actor was Grand Marshall at the event staged by the American Scottish Foundation as part of the Tartan Week celebrations.

The city that never sleeps was alive with the sound of pipes and drums as thousands of Scots, descendants and expats joined Scotland Now to parade through the heart of New York in the sunshine.
