Episode 12 was numbing. Women were just chattels, possessions and believe it or not, were not considered people, they had no voice in the 17th/18th/19th centuries. That is why someone who was strong and independent as Claire was, was in danger at all times. Claire’s dream state was as though she were in a bubble, surrounded by family, and not really relating to anyone. Brilliant performance by Caitriona.
