Just because you get older doesn’t mean you stop having sex. Yes, I’m 64 and it still happens! We may not be able to hang from the chandelier any more but I think it is even better now!
I love Jamie and Claire.(Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are the best ever). I agree with the points of view above though – age has nothing to do with a very deep loving and passionate relationship including intimacy – it only makes it better.
Love the books and love the TV series. Ultimately age doesn’t matter, but think about reuniting with your great love from decades ago! Definitely shyness and a touch of fear about your partner’s acceptance for the whole of who you are. When real intimacy has been shut off for a long time, it can be very difficult to take a deep breath and be that vulnerable again. It’s a very courageous thing to do; which is why Claire tells Jamie that she’s already chosen to give up everything, to risk all that she was for the chance to be with him, and why he said she had the devil’s own courage to do it.

I agree with Susan. Age makes no difference whatsoever.

Agreed. It will be very interesting to see how this is treated in Voyager – Season 3 Outlander. I love the Outlander books and the TV series.
