Fans can expect to see some tension between Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) in Outlander this year, according to author Diana Gabaldon.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the 64-year-old American writer of the Outlander novel series, said that there was going to be some “friction” between the couple.
The rape of Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) by her husband Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) sparked anger among viewers for going too far by including the off-camera sexual assault.
Some fans criticised the show’s makers for including the scene purely for shock value given that it didn’t take place in the original books written by George RR Martin.
Ironically, Sophie admitted that “kind of loved” filming the Black Wedding scene after it screened a couple of week ago.
