*New* Matt Roberts’ Interview with THR ***1×14 SPOILERS***   1 comment

Here’s a new interview of Matt Roberts from The Hollywood Reporter on Outlander episode 1×14

5

From THR:

With the revelation that Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) has been captured by the Red Coats, Outlander’s “The Search” proved time is of the essence for Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jenny (Laura Donnelly) to find him before Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies) does. What ensues is an epic cross-country romp for Claire, Jenny and Jamie’s godfather, Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) filled with silliness, shenanigans and some seriously game-changing propositions.

The Hollywood Reporter caught up with episode writer Matthew B. Roberts to discuss the hour’s The Good, the Bad and the Ugly references, its dirty take on “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and why we don’t know [Black] Jack — yet.

*New* Duncan Lacroix’s Interview with Vulture ***1×14 SPOILERS***   1 comment

Here’s a new interview with Duncan Lacroix from Vulture

From Vulture:

Just when Claire needs him most, Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser turns up to help her search for Jamie in Saturday night’s episode of Outlander. And as it turns out, Murtagh’s always been there for her, even if she didn’t realize it or appreciate it. Of all the Highland Scots, he’s been the biggest supporter of the couple’s love affair. “He spots their chemistry before even they do,” actor Duncan Lacroix, who plays Murtagh, explained. This is in no small part because of his unrequited love for Jamie’s mother, which he tells Claire about on their road trip. Lacroix chatted with Vulture about his character’s romantic side, eyebrow acting, and why a dose of heavy metal would be good for the Scots of 1743.

*New* Laura Donnelly’s Interview with THR ***1×14 Spoilers***   1 comment

From The Hollywood Reporter:

In a show that is frequently lauded by critics and fans alike for its dynamic narrative and the compelling, feminist character at its helm, it would be easy for Outlander to rest on those laurels and let that be enough.

But the drama based on Diana Gabaldon’s novels is a veritable smorgasbord of interesting and unique female characters that subvert the tropes so easily laid out in the series’ 1740s setting. One such character is Jenny Fraser (Laura Donnelly), the sister of Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) — a woman that has seriously given Claire (Caitriona Balfe) a run for her money in the second half of season one.

Here, Donnelly talks with The Hollywood Reporter about what it was like playing the headstrong Scot, her subversion of Black Jack Randall’s attack, and whether or not we’ll see more of Jenny and Claire together in season two.
