A preview of what’s coming up in Season 2 of Men In Kilts from Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish

From TV Insider:
[This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.]
Outlander‘s Sam Heughan and Graham McTavish are leaving Scotland far behind for a New Zealand edition of their lively buddy travelogue, Men in Kilts: A Roadtrop with Sam and Graham.
Below, they preview what adventures await when the four-episode season arrives on Starz.
(…)
We witnessed McTavish’s fear of heights in Season 1 when he tried to abseil down Kilt Rock on the Isle of Skye. Another phobia surfaced in N.Z.: Getting to the top of a glacier here, McTavish says, “allowed me to enjoy one of Sam’s fears — namely, helicopters!” Still, Heughan says their swoop over “majestic” Milford Sound “was worth the ride to experience that view.”
Though Outlander provides battle experience with everything from broadsword to bow and arrow, the duo tried arming themselves as Maori warriors. “The Maori weapons were designed for close-quarters fighting—very similar to Highland fighting in that sense,” McTavish notes. So the choice of kilts was apropos!

From Glamour:
Sam Heughan has had a very busy 2023, and there’s no indication he’s slowing down. For starters, there’s the seventh season of Outlander; his rom-com Love Again, with Priyanka Chopra-Jonas and Celine Dion; the upcoming release of his New York Times best-selling book, Waypoints: My Scottish Journey (in paperback with new material); his ever-growing spirits line The Sassenach; and now the premiere of season two of Men in Kilts: A Roadtrip With Sam and Graham, which comes to Starz on Friday, August 11, to coincide with Outlander‘s midseason finale.
In the latter—which Heughan stars with former Outlander costar Graham McTavish—the two hit the road in New Zealand for another adrenaline-fueled, jam-packed adventure. But it’s not the high-octane activities that fans tune in for; it’s the friendship, banter, and charisma between the two actors that make you wish you were there with them. It’s sweet, it’s funny, and above all, it’s a reminder that the best things in life often involve having a good friend by your side.
Episode 201 (August 11): Titled “Scottish Influence” and directed by Kevin Scott Johnston. The road trip begins as Sam and Graham zip down mountains and come face to face with a terrifying apex predator.
Episode 202 (August 18): Titled “Maori Culture” and directed by Kevin Scott Johnston. The guys immerse themselves in the rich culture of the Māori by learning ceremonial dances, fighting techniques, and more.
Episode 203 (August 25): Titled “Taste of New Zealand” and directed by Kevin Scott Johnston. Our favorite duo embark on an immersive food and wine tour with local New Zealand businesses. Really annoyed we weren’t invited. Eating and drinking is our specialty.
Episode 204 (September 1): Titled “Last Call” and directed by Kevin Scott Johnston. Their final adventure wraps up in New Zealand as they take a bath in hell (um, alrighty then), roll down mountains, and get a new makeover. We haven’t even seen this episode, but if it’s not Emmy-nominated based on the description alone, we’re filing a complaint.
