Should We Do “A Breath of Snow and Ashes” Read Along on the Site for Droughtlander? Would You Guys Be Up For That?   15 comments

Hi all!

I was wondering if you guys felt like doing a read along of “A Breath of Snow and Ashes” on the site with us during Droughtlander? I think Paige and I could both use a refresher of this book. We’d read a chapter a week and come back on here and discuss with you guys.

Would you guys be up for that?

  1. That would be great. I never tire of reading these books.

  2. I am re-re-reading it at the moment but sounds a good idea. Only trouble it hard to stop at just one chapter.

  3. What a great idea. Especially since it is going to be another long Droughtlander. Can’t be helped, but this idea will.

  4. Absolutely!!! I really struggled reading The Fiery Cross. It just didn’t hold my interest. Did anyone else experience that? I’m half way through ABOSAA now and can’t put it down. I catch myself reading passages out loud because of the beauty of the written descriptions.

    • You aren’t alone. I struggled through TFC as well. It’s the only book I’ve had issues to get through.

      • When I read TFC the second time, I enjoyed it a lot more. I think the first time going through, you’re so intent on what’s going to happen next that it’s hard to muddle thru all the details and descriptions. I know when I was done the 2nd time, I said, “that was great!”

  5. Do I need to be a member of a group. Any specific day or time to participate?

    • Not a member of the group. We’ll post every week on the site and discuss. Commenting like you are right now. We’ll probably do it on Sundays.

  6. yes would be great…..

  7. Great idea. Count me in. Every time I reread the Outlander books – I find something that I missed before – or is it that we get to understand a little better the soul of the book and the people in it. Either way – I’d love to join in the Read Along.
