Of course the best was bre and Roger and hardest to take was the rape at end . The show is simply excellent keep those episodes coming
Yeah I loved the handfast, and I thought having Lizzie see their emotional banter through the window was a great way to set up what happens later. The arguement tho…..oh my word….they are both immature hot heads! And I think having us not see the rape but see everyone’s inaction or indifference made the rape even more awful if that’s possible.
Yes very immature. Especially Brianna. I can’t seem to care about them. How could she send him back like that. So uncaring and selfish. They’re annoying if anything. I thought they missed a moment when Jamie could have interacted with the baby playing with her on his lap. Just something really cute for a man to do making up for all the moments they missed.
As much as I love Jamie and Claire’s story, I must say I feel the same way about Bree and Rogers story as you do.I really don’t want to see their love making scenes drawn out like it was last night. To me, the main story should be Jamie and Claire. I watch the show for their love story. I am sure I will make some mad by my statement, but I am not trying to. It’s just my own thoughtd.
I have to agree with you about Roger and Brianna’s love scene. They just pale in comparison as well. Did Roger really need to make that cringe-worthy comment about her drapes/carpet. SMH
I actually had no issue tonight with the changes from the books. Beautifully crafted commentary on the attitudes toward women.
I thought it a much better episode this week. Would have been nice to see more interaction between Jamie and Claire but I suppose this weeks episode was about Bre and Roger. The handfasting was touching but the argument that ensued showed just how hotheaded and immature Bre really is. I found the rape upsetting made worse by everybody carrying on as if nothing was happening but it needed to be there for the story moving forward.
This was an episode that covered Brianna’s rape – it was horrifying. I love every scene with Jamie and Claire -can’t get enough of both of them. Season 4 is moving along beautifully – a lot more adventures and troubles along the way of course.
