Loved it despite the differences from the book. Changes seems to work well.
Loved seeing their domestic life. Wow, the conversation between John and Claire. He wanted her to know that and couldn’t help himself bc of being sick.
I loved the conversation between the two of them.
What did Jaime say when his son turns ?
around while he is riding away
I believe it was something Gaelic. Or atleast it sounded Gaelic
He said: “Ri cluinntinn fhathast.” Which means “Good on ye, big man.” Source is Adhamh O Broin on Twitter: https://twitter.com/Gaeliconsultant/status/1072049118544084992

Thought this episode’s was beautiful but have to add just a wee pioneer comment about shot of the privy. Those folk must be rich, using cloth for TP. My aunt and uncle lived on a farm and had a privy until I was out of college. They had a basket of cobs (white-or popcorn for sensitive bums, and red for regular folk). The five gallon bucket on the mud porch was reserved for the little kids. Just saying…….Don’t think they were into the Sears catalog yet, hehehe.
How can I choose a favorite scene? All the scenes were brilliantly done. The episodes with Jamie and Willie were bitter sweet as Jamie knew Willie would again not be with him – so Jamie savoured every minute he had with Willie. Claire and Lord John Grey seem to have buried the hatchet – there is a great understanding between them. As mentioned, I loved all the scenes. Season 4 is amazing.
