NEW Interview with Sam Heughan from Parade   Leave a comment

Here is a NEW Interview with Sam Heughan from Parade

From Parade:

Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser’s (Caitriona Balfe) time in the New World hasn’t been easy in season four of Outlander as in the first episode, they were beset upon by pirates. It was a perfect example of the adage no good deed goes unpunished.

More after the jump!

It was after aiding Stephen Bonnet’s (Ed Speelers) desperate attempt to escape the authorities and the hangman, the charming pirate and smuggler does them dirty. He and his crew shanghaied the Fraser’s boat as they headed upstream to Aunt Jocasta’s (Maria Doyle Kennedy) plantation River Run, and stole everything of value, except the one wedding ring that Claire managed to swallow.

Even so, the two have made the decision to stay in America and on Sunday night’s “Do No Harm” episode, we see how that plays out.

“I think a lot of the reason is opportunity,” Heughan tells Parade.com in this exclusive interview. “For Jamie, he is, well, you know a Scotsman, and Scotland lives in his heart. Definitely at the beginning of the season, there’s a real strong pull for him. He wants to go back but quickly realizes that there’s actually a better opportunity here to create a life together, to raise a family and to have a home. In Scotland, there’s far too many negative things that happen there and reasons not to go back.”
