I fail to see why Claire and Marsali are giving us the finger?? 😢
YEAH! No kidding! Peculiar joke if it is a joke.
Yeah! Turned down my enthusiasm for the show the first time I saw ms. Balfe giving us the finger. I can surely enjoy the books and not the show!
I hope giving us the finger has a different meaning overseas as I am insulted by the gesture. Sam is no better and I love the books and show but if this disrespect continues I too will stick to only the books!!!!
Oh, please! Why is everyone so sensitive and thin skinned? You can watch the scenes in the show with sex and violence, but you can’t handle seeing someone’s middle finger? They clearly appear to be joking with whomever is taking the photo, and just being “sassy”. They are also likely dealing with long hours of shooting, and are probably tired, so they are giving attitude to someone taking the photo, or whatever…… I am not trying to be rude or disrespectful to anyone’s feelings, but just suggesting maybe not to take things so seriously. Just a thought…
Amen, sister kim, amen. Can’t those poor pepole be allowed to be dorks once in awhile? Sheesh. What a bunch of grouches on here.
I definitely agree! What’s the big deal that their “giving the bird” to someone? These ARE behind the scene pictures! They could be messing around with the person behind the camera. If something so trivial gets people’s feathers in a bunch to the point where they question watching the show again, then I can’t imagine how you’ve lasted this long! Please take a ” chill pill”.
Hi Lori: I love your comments and agree with it wholeheartedly. I like your “chill pill” phrase – a big smile on my face when I saw that. i can hardly wait till Season 4 – Drums of Autumn arrives. I am an obsessed fan of Outlander and love every minute of it.
I agree with Kimberly, Reve and Lori. I get the feeling that the actors were being cheeky with the person behind the camera, definitely not to or with their fans.
I get the feeling that it must be a little stressful being an actor/actress acting through their roles and then having to sit around till they are called up again. I love Sam’s jacket by the way – awesome! And, of course his smile is always a winner. I love the show “Outlander” and always will, and have read and reread the books over and over. It still is the best show out there. Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe, including all the supporting actors/actresses, are the best. Thank you for sharing the photos above – please send more.
I wonder if the finger was more for the picture taker….but not thinking about the picture viewer (s).
Well unfortunately the picture viewer is the one who sees it! It’s like seeing them say “F…..You” to the viewer. And the sex and violence are not directed towards the viewer. They are part of the story. I just think they should be more aware of who is VIEWING the photo’s. For a star who has young men and woman looking up to them and admiring their talent and beauty, it is a bit of a shock to see that star use a foul gesture. Just my opinion.
I am an obsessive Outlander fan of books an SHOW and will remain so!
Absolutely agree with you Judy. I can hardly wait till Drums of Autumn hits the screen.
No kidding people, it’s just joking around. You’re not a true Outlander fan if you can give up watching because the cast is having a little fun!
ITA with the comments that people need to lighten up or chill out. I don’t really like the books Clare is annoying and Jamie is tortured by the author because she hates the character, but I love CB and SH Ron Moore & co always produce quality work. Take the advice of DG “put the book 📖 down and enjoy the show “
Hello to everyone out there – let the cameras roll and carry on with “Outlander”. I love the books and the TV show – nothing will change that. While reading the books I loved the indepth conversations that Jamie and Claire had, they had their differences of view for sure (what couple doesn’t). While watching the TV show I loved the chemistry between Sam and Caitriona, their acting is brilliant and the adventures they have along the way. It’s all good everyone – enjoy the show. There is a tremendous amount of talent we are watching on Outlander.
My comment was strictly for the picture where Marsali and Cait are flipping the bird. I love Outlander and will continue to read and re-read the books and watch the TV but please no more vulgar fingers. After all where did the word F come from——-File Under Cardinal Knowledge by the Police when they come across sexual crimes. So when and how did the viewers commit sexual crimes?????
I fully agree with Barbara. And you know what???? I don’t want to chill out. Actors and actresses are all stressed out and not all of them take the liberty of showing the finger. I find it rude and if it was a joke between the one who was taking the picture and them then please do not do it while the person is taking the picture because the purpose of the picture is to show to the public. Show the finger before or after the picture not while the picture is being taken. We all have an opinion and we are entitled to it. Some don’t take offence well good for you but others do and respect them for it. I will continue to watch the show but it doesn’t mean that I appreciated the gesture.
