It’s agreed that Claire and Jamie are two different people, for 20 years has forced them to change in some ways; but the deep love is only dormant between them, not dead. They will recover that love, but I think it will be a more mature love interplay between them. I have read all of the 8 books and I see that love between them more deeper, resourceful, and matured than when they first began to demonstrate love for each other. I like the two of them better.
Agreed. I felt they had a better understanding of each other as well as time went on, it didn’t alter their love for each other, but only deepened it. I loved their in-depth conversations in the books. They also had a great sense of humour which helped in times of difficulty. They were a complex couple.
