Now I know why he was so animated and warm during the parade. Does anyone know the name of the tartan he was wearing?
I think it may have been the peace tartan. Graham McTavis modeled one that looked remarkably similar when the peace tartan was first brought out. Wouldn’t swear to it though as tartan subtleties are lost on me.
Turns out I found out from some Tartan Parade people that the kilt was custom made by 21st Century Kilts in his grandmother’s tartan which is Angus. Howie the tailor we see fitting him for one of the kilts but it isn’t the one he wore in the parade. The one he wore in the parade only had one pocket. This picture shows 2 front pockets. I like this hybrid style kilt.
He looked like he was having so much fun…what a great guy!!!
