After all the horrible things that happened to him in the first season of Outlander, the character known as Jamie Fraser really could use a vacation.
As Season 2 of Outlander begins, Jamie and his wife Claire are in Paris, but they aren’t there to relax, sip wine, munch on baguettes and see the sights.
“Obviously we go to Paris on this mission, and we’re there for a reason,” said Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie. “But Jamie’s definitely still affected by the trauma (of what occurred in Season 1).
“I think time is a great healer, but ultimately, he puts his whole body and soul into this mission about changing history. And then there is a great revelation that kind of cures him, or brings him out of himself.
“I can’t really tell you what that is. But it certainly brings back the old Jamie.”
