Here is a new interview with Ron D. Moore from the New York Post
From The New York Post :
Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe), the heroine of “Outlander,” is a woman with a mission. The Scottish time traveler knows her 18th-century husband, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan), dies on the battlefield of Culloden at the hands of the French. In the series’ second season, she wants to stop the course of history, traveling from Inverness to Paris to infiltrate high society—break out the corsets—and prevent the Jacobite rebellion that aimed to restore the exiled House of Stuart to the thrones of England, Scotland and Ireland. Can Claire save her man? Executive producer Ronald D. Moore discussed Season 2 with The Post.

New Interview of Sam Heughan with The Herald Scotland 2 comments
Here’s a new The Herald Scotland interview with Sam Heughan
From The Herald Scotland
Heughan’s comments come as Wardpark Studios, the private company which shoots Outlander for Sony, seeks £4 million in Scottish Government funding to expand its Cumbernauld site from four sound stages to six. The development, which also includes a back lot and offices, would increase the size of the facility by almost two thirds, taking it up to almost 80,000sq ft.
The existing site is used purely for filming Outlander, but as a condition of the deal, the extra sound stages could be hired out to other productions.
“We are very aware on Outlander that we’ve got this studio,” said Heughan. “It has been built for a specific use and we have proved it can be done. I know they have been talking for a long time about [a Scottish film studio].
“I think it would be great for another studio [to be built]. Scotland needs many studios – the more industry the better. We are creating jobs with Outlander, but we would love to create more obviously if there are other studios. The more the merrier, bring them on.

Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe interview with Channel Guide Magazine
How refreshing was it to change everything – new set, new location, just starting over?
Caitriona Balfe: It was really exciting. It also can be a little daunting, as well, because you get so comfortable in one place and you get so comfortable in this sort of Scottish story, and Scotland very much felt like a character in the show. To depart so strongly from that was kind of strange in the beginning, but it also kept everything so fresh because we got this whole influx of amazing characters and fantastically talented actors. It mirrored the journey of Claire and Jamie because they are out of place in Paris, and they are trying on a new guise, in a sense. It was funny – I think we both felt quite a bit of relief, though, once we got back to Scotland, in a sense.
Sam Heughan: I think so. It’s an alien world for them, they are having to adjust and be different people in France. It is a very beautiful world that we’ve created. It looks spectacular and the costumes are amazing. However, going back to Scotland was almost a relief. It’s a bit more free and it’s a bit more comfortable, and it was a world that we already know. It’s familiar. It’s like going back to an old friend.

New Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe and Ron D. Moore Interview with E!
From E!:
You can probably already tell that the show is going to look different, given the pictures that have been released so far, but the look is not the only thing that will be a new experience in at least the first half of season two. We caught up with executive producer Ronald D. Moore and stars Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughanat the celebration of their TV Guide Magazine cover to get the scoop on what’s to come.
“For the people that have read the books, I think they know the general plot and where we’re going, but we’re going to open the season different than the books do, so that’s surprise one,” executive producer Moore tells E! News of the upcoming season, which is based on the second book in the series, “Dragonfly in Amber.” “For the non-book fans, we’re going to start not where you expect at all based on where you last saw Claire and Jamie, sailing off to France to change history. We’re going to sort of surprise you right off the bat with what happened.”
