Outlander fans have had to wait an extra week to witness the emotionally grueling conclusion to Season 1. But for the devoted who live within driving distance of Los Angeles, there will be 12 straight-from-the-Scotland-set costumes on display at the Grove outdoor mall until May 31.
The exhibit, called “A Tartan Affair” — which consists of clothing, shoes, and accessories worn by Caitriona Balfe (Claire Randall), Sam Heughan (Jamie Fraser), Tobias Menzies (Frank Randall/Black Jack Randall), Graham McTavish (Dougal MacKenzie), and Lotte Verbeek (Geillis Duncan) — was unveiled Friday morning by the show’s executive producer, Ronald D. Moore, as about 100 fans looked on, snapped photos, and begged for a Season 2 scoop.

If only history class looked like Outlander, then we would have done so much better in school. (Although if our professor looked like Sam Heughan, we probably would have failed. Because we’d just be staring at him and daydreaming and generally not paying attention. Can you blame us?!)
Caitriona Balfe has gone from being a catwalk queen to a top actress and, as the star of Outlander, has received some unusual gifts.
The 35-year-old was nominated for Best Actress in a Drama at the IFTA awards on Sunday night and says she’s delighted at how successful the show has become but it has led to some bizarre reactions from fans.
“I get a lot of strange gifts. I got some cake mix recently – I don’t know what that was about but that was one of the weirdest ones,” she told the Herald.
