They certainly do a fantastic job with the makeup! It looks so terribly real that I have to shut my eyes during the scenes. I simply cannot stand the brutality of the red coats! When I re-watch the episodes with Black Jack Randall in them, I fast-forward through those scenes. (Old lady here.)
